130320 [Interview/Trans] Standing on the boundary of sneakers and suits, a 25 year old youth Jung Yonghwa

Among the influx of idol dance groups during year 2010, here comes a boy band that can perform and sing well. Other than the good looks, CNBLUE also has the potential in performing. Although all four of them have different charms but there's one who attracted more attention. He is the one who would stand on stage and shout "everyone make some noise! (소리 질러)", the band leader and vocalist, Jung Yong Hwa. Guitar-vocalist Yonghwa is like a shoelace that would loosen the shoe, in fact, Yonghwa is actually a man who is similar to a carefree and comfortable pair of sneaker.

121110 [Photo/Interview] G-STAR RAW Website Interview - Q&A off of G-STAR website

Questions:
1. What kind of image do have of G-STAR RAW?
2. What do you think of Japanese female fashion?
3. What part of yourself do you think is your “strength?” Also, what part do you think is SNSD’s “strength?”
4. Please leave a message for your Japanese fans.

SEOHYUN
1. I want to try wearing a non-skinny silhouette style jean next time!
2. I think it’s great that they’re able to clearly express their individuality, their confident fashion is very fresh, and overflowing with energy.
3. When I can inspire myself by myself.  Everyday I feel that everything can change depending on my own feelings and I learn from that.  No matter what hardship, there has to be a part that I can learn from, so I think my strengths are looking on the good side and boldly taking action.
SNSD’s strength is that all 9 of us love each other deeply and we feel the same passion towards our work.
Actually, since we have lived with each other for over 10 years like a family, we depend on each other.  Also, no matter what we always happily cheer up and because we can be natural around each other, even during hard times we always don’t naturally give up and I think that becomes the driving force to do our best.
4. To the fans who always cheer us on!  We will try hard to respond to everyone with even more good music!  I’m really impressed and happy that there are Japanese fans who imitate our outfits.  Please look forward to our new appearance this time with G-Star!  Please love SNSD a lot from now on ^^

120503 [Interview] Seohyun Talks About Her Past and Future in ’1st Look’ Magazine

In the May issue of “1st Look” magazine, SM Entertainment artists got together to talk about the upcoming release of the documentary film “I AM.” that will showcase the lives of SM Entertainment stars from their trainee days to the historic SMTOWN Live in NYC concert. Along with f(x)’s Krystal, TVXQ’s Yunho, and Super Junior’s Leeteuk, Seohyun took part in the photo shoot, and she gave us a glimpse into who she is, both Seohyun and Seo Joohyun.

“I AM. Seo Joohyun and Seohyun, because there wouldn’t be a ‘Seohyun’ if there was no ‘Seo Joohyun’. Seohyun on stage and the usual Seo Joohyun are really different. I try to draw myself in to maintain my image of living a proper lifestyle because I don’t want to disappoint anyone. People’s watchful eyes have become a good driving force in my life. With company friends and unnies, I have been able to create memories that I would not have been able to at school. When I look back, they were fun, fond days. It’s amazing and a little embarrassing that the trainees days that only I know about will be revealed. Your fingers curl when you look at photos from your past. But I think sharing our memories of the past with others sounds fun. I worked hard from when I was cast in fifth grade until now, and because I don’t regret the time spent, it’s okay if it gets revealed.”

“When I stand on stage, I get nervous, and because unexpected situations can occur, we need even more preparation. I must have confidence on top of that as well. The reason why I chose drama/theatre as my major is to act after learning all the theory first. You only live once, and I can only live as myself. I think I could learn a lot of things if I can live as others through acting.”

120420 [Interview] World Grows Smaller For Boy Band CNBLUE!

This is the first of a 15-part series on the stars and trends in “hallyu,” or the Korean Wave, which is gaining global popularity particularly in Southeast Asia and Latin America. The Korea Times produces this special project in cooperation with the Korea Foundation and CJ E&M. — ED
By Kwaak Je-yup
Since their 2009 debut in Korea, CNBLUE have been one of the few rock bastions in the ultra-competitive local music scene dominated by dance-able electro-pop.
Their lasting success has comforted some about the continuing mainstream appeal of rock, while detractors have accused them of packaging innocuous poppy sounds, even calling them a “fake band.”
