121013 [Style] Coordi Chingu Halloween Special: Genie
You guys might be wondering what the purpose was for the recent polls that were conducted. Halloween’s coming up and that means Trick or Treating and lots of costume parties. Now thanks to Kpop, thinking of a perfect Halloween costume seems to be easier. And of course, we need not look far to find inspiration. Let the Soshi Queens help you find the perfect Halloween Costume.
This is the first part of a 3 series Halloween Special from YSI Styles :)
Based on the results, the three winning looks are Officer in White, Officer in Navy and the Sailor Playsuit featured in the Japanese PV. It’s amusing to learn that some Gogumas voted for the Officer in White because of its WGM connection :P
Now if you have resources and time, of course having a Genie costume tailored just for you would be ideal. I’m amazed especially with how the Japanese fans cosplay Soshi. But then some may not have the time and money for it. Also, when considering a costume, others want to be on the more practical side using items that can be used for everyday wear. This Coordi Chingu guide will focus on styling Genie costumes that use ready-to-wear items.

120929 [Poll] YSI Styles - Oh!
The poll for Genie's officially closed. Results will be out first week of October :) Now it's time for another round of voting.
Big curly hair, bright pink over-the-knee boots and pompoms... I wasn't too sure about this concept at first. It was truly an explosion of color and aegyo. When they've managed to transition to sexy, why go back to being cute again? But it must be the stage, it must be that knee lift dance with the Sone chanting, or the eyes that sparkle while singing to an oppa, because clearly, Girls' Generation did their magic again (and even earned them a Daesang).
And of course, for every successful stage, there is a successful eye-catching ensemble of costumes. We again rounded up a variety of their Oh! outfits and this time we ask you to choose the top 3 Goguma favorites.

120921 [Poll] YSI Styles: Genie
Girls' Generation has proven to be a master of stage concepts. It was even written before in a publication that it is one of their strengths in attaining continuous success. We've seen SNSD mature from school girl outfits and lollipops during their first album to leather Mr. Taxi outfits and glittered jumpsuits.
Now, we at YSI Styles are curious. Considered as their transition from cute to sexy, Genie has become one of Girls' Generation's most popular songs. Besides the addictive melody and synchronized leg dancing, the stage outfits really gave the girls a huge jump in popularity. Every stage was different and featured diff. military-inspired uniforms. We've chosen a variety of Genie outfits.
Gogumas, what is your favorite Genie outfit? :) Multiple votes is allowed but only once a day.
