  1. Do these girls really know (understand) what the title and lyrics of this song MEAN? There is a hidden meaning behind 'If You Seek Amy' that I think if they knew the true meaning - they would be shocked!

  3. totally agree with luvtokki. The real meaning of " if you seek amy" is "F*** me". I think SNSD and their manager really don't know the real meaning of the title " if you seek amy" .If one day they find out, they will be totally shocked :D:D.

    f(If), u (You), c (see-), k (k-a)-me(my)

  4. Tiffany was there singing the song :D And btw SNSD, especially Sooyoung, seems like they are into Britney's songs (since they have done quite a lot of Brits') so I bet they know.

  6. So you mean they really wanna say those inappropriate words lol. Sooyoung is ok but honestly i don't want Huyn to say "if you seek amy" =))

  7. I hate to say it but I think they know too. If you've seen Britney's video she makes it clear what the song title means as soon as it begins. With Tiffany and Jessica being American there's no way they could watch that video and not know. Yong speaks enough English. I think he probably knows too.

  8. Hi everyone. It's interesting to see the discussion here.

I'm not sure if the girls knew the meaning, If you look up the song at songmeaning.com a number of fans really are clueless about the hidden message. So who knows?

And even so, I think we should look at the meaning of the song. For many this may be obvious, so have patience with my obvious-ness :)

Britney and the songwriter were making a statement with the song. Saying the F-word while hiding it behind the lyrics definitely has a high shock-factor.

While the words are crude and intentionally so, I take the main message to be that love Britney or hate her, everyone wants a piece of her.

I'm not sure if SNSD (or whoever chose the song for them) picked it for the lyrics or just liked the beat but there is some truth to the message.

SNSD is hugely popular with their share of fans and haters. However even the haters are using SNSD for attention. They can't stop talking about the girls, dissecting them, pouncing on every news. So, love them hate them everyone wants to F* them which in this case is not the literal f*ck but more wanting to have a piece of that popular SNSD pie.

Hope that made sense. Just in my mind, it's not so much the crude words that strike me, but more the message which points out the hypocrisy of haters. And if the SNSD girls were fully aware of that message, then I gotta give them mad props for their cajones.
