SNSD have been appointed honorary PR ambassadors to promote tourism in Korea!
The nine lovely ladies have been chosen to promote the "2010-2012 Visit Korea Year." The induction ceremony will take place in Seoul on August 19.
SNSD will join the ranks of Hallyu icon Bae Yong Jun, Olympic medalist figure skater Kim Yu-Na, and Korea's beloved cartoon character Pororo, in promoting tourism.
"We felt that Girls' Generation will do a great job in increasing the value of Korea as a brand and bring more visitors to the country since they are one of the leaders in the current K-Pop music scene," stated Hong Joo-min, the Chairman of Visit Korea Committee.
Congratulations, girls! Let's see you bring lots of tourists to Korea!
