"In order to show a special image, we wore luxurious and unique costumes today. It's a style I've never tried before and I'm not used to the degree of exposure, so please excuse my actions."
Girls' Generation attended the post-event press conference at Singapore's Marina Bay Sands on November 29th, after winning the "Artist of the Year" award at the 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
When asked for their thoughts on getting the much-coveted prize, they expressed their resolution of working even harder for the next year.
The girls are currently in the middle of an Asian tour, where they are showcasing a new and different image of themselves. Leader Taeyeon added, "If I can have a small wish, it would be to hold a world tour after the Asian tour ends."
Meanwhile, Singaporean fans can expect to see the girls up-close in the local leg of their tour, which will also be held in the Indoor Stadium as was the MAMAs. Girls' Generation said, "We will show diverse images and sides of ourselves on a more personal stage."
Fans from other countries can look forward to something else -- for their next concept, the girls said that they would like to do something special since they have done a lot of remixes recently.
The last question of the night was directed at maknae Seohyun, who was observed touching her dress a lot whilst walking down the red carpet. "Was this a sign of nervousness?" a reporter asked.
Seohyun answered, after letting slip a slight surprise at the question and a quick glance at her fellow members, "In order to show a special image, we wore luxurious and unique costumes today. It's a style I've never tried before and I'm not used to the degree of exposure, so please excuse my actions."
