130101 [News] CNBLUE conquers the end of the year awards ceremonies

The members of CNBLUE, who have been preparing for their impending comeback set for January 14, 2013, have made appearances in various awards ceremonies.

This year, each of the members worked as both singers and actors and were nominated for awards in ceremonies of both industries. In particular, they garnered attention for not only being nominated, but for becoming recipients of awards in drama awards ceremonies of different broadcasting stations.

Kang Min Hyuk, who acted as Cha Se Kwang in KBS ‘Nung Cool’, and Lee Jung Shin, who is currently Kang Sung Jae in KBS ‘My Daughter Seo Young’, were both nominated for the ‘Rookie Actor Award’ at the KBS Drama Awards.

While two members of one group are competing for one award, Lee Jong Hyun was nominated for the ‘New Star Award’ at the SBS Drama Awards for his work as Colin, Jang Dong Gun’s son in SBS ‘A Gentleman’s Dignity’.

CNBLUE’s leader Jung Yong Hwa debuted as an actor in 2009, before CNBLUE’s domestic debut in 2010, as Kang Shin Woo in SBS drama ‘You’re Beautiful’. Following this, he was cast as the lead role in the 2011 MBC drama ‘Heartstrings’.

Kang Min Hyuk and Lee Jong Hyun practically became the stars of their respective dramas and Lee Jung Shin has an indispensable role in the popular KBS weekend drama ‘My Daughter Seo Young’. All the members not only rose up as actors, but the dramas they appeared in also received top ratings in 2012, bringing much envy from others around them. The final results that will come from CNBLUE’s impressive roles in the drama industry are becoming highly anticipated by many people.

During the ’2012 K-drama Awards’ that took place on December 8, two CNBLUE members, Jung Yong Hwa and Kang Min Hyuk, received the ‘Hallyu Star Award’ and ‘Rising Star Award’ respectively, bringing a great start to the 2012 acting awards ceremonies.

CNBLUE also appeared and put on special performances at the KBS Music Festival on Friday, December 28 and the SBS ‘Gayo Daejun’ on Saturday, December 29, and MBC Music Festival on Monday, December 31.
